who's your Tiger, and why?...also, do you think they can hang on this year? I do. Once they get Zumaya back...if Leeland can keep them focused I think they'll be alright. Now they've got some playoff experience ...I don't think they'll be as nervous...what do you think?

My Tiger is Brandon Inge!

The rest of them aren't bad either!!!

I am going with Inge because I love his defensive capablities.
I love the wayhe dives for the ball, and picks it clean and fires a strike over to 1st base to get the ruuner. How many times has he dove into the stands and made the play? How many times has he gotten to a ball (where other 3rd basebman wouldnt even be close) and saved a few runs? How many base hits has he taken away from the other team?

His batting average isnt where I wish it were, but his glove more than makes up for whatever RBI's he doesnt get.

Polanco is the man...he's a consistent hitter. He doesn't try hard to hit 'em out like other guys do. He knows what he needs to do in the #2 spot...just get a hit, or move the leadoff man into scoring position. He understands baseball and how it should be played, and that's what I love about him. He's an excellent hitter.

The Tigers are most likely going to win the divison. Their 5-man rotation is the best in the AL...I gotta say the Padres have the best in the MLB, so the Tigers are 2nd in the MLB...best in the AL. Anyway, I think they can stay focused and win it, especially if Zumaya comes back. He will definitely strengthen that bullpen. Also, if they trade with Texas to get Gagne or Otsuka, then they will surely win the divison.

My tiger is Placido Polanco. he is a great player offensively and defensively. Although he only has about 40 RBI, its because he is the #2 hitter. Imagine if he was the number 4 or 5 hitter, he would have as many RBI's as Maggs! and i do think the tigers will hang on, i dont see any reason they wouldnt except the bullpen. But..Zumaya and Rodney are coming back, and the Tigers are trying to make a deal to get either Otsuka/Gagne/Lidge

Wow, too tough to make a definitive decision here.
Inge cuz of his no fear attitude in the field.
Grandy cuz of his incredible skills and limitless future. Will win a batting title someday.
Pudge cuz he showed other players like Maggs that Detroit was a good place to come play ball.
Placido cuz he's a great second baseman and seriously underrated hitter.
The Mayor cuz he's just a really nice guy!
Thames cuz he hits some monsterous shots!
Sheffield cuz he's having an MVP like year. If he keeps it up, he could actually win it!
Magglio, cuz he IS the MVP so far..
Neifi cuz he got suspended, making the team better.
Carlos cuz he is another totally underrated player, decent fielder and great hitter.
Verlander - the sky is the limit.
The Gambler cuz of his great leadership and veteran presence.
Bondo cuz he is a damn good pitcher
Nate cuz he beat the Twinkies last night.

Carlos Guillen 312-14-69 is one of the most underrated shortstops in the game today and a major reason the Tigers are doing so well.
