They have accomplished less than any other Congress in the history of the US Government!

They get a C for stupid political tactics wrapped in feigned concern for the troops.

They have no intention of pulling us out of Iraq because it is the wrong thing to do. Everybody knows it, but a small and shrinking percentage of people are taken in by the Dems idiotic charade.

They get an A for effort. If you understood anything about the Senate you would know that the democrats only have a dubious one vote majority -- without 60 votes nothing can be brought to the floor and the Republicans can stop anything they don't like from coming to the floor.

Your statement regarding accomplishments of this Congress is totally false

"The House has held 600 roll call votes and six quorum calls so far this year, which puts the chamber well on its way to surpassing the 867 votes and 18 quorum calls Republicans held in 1995 after they assumed control of the House for the first time in 40 years".

The Senate, meanwhile, has held about 240 votes this year. That number, combined with the House figure, puts Congress on track to break the all-time record for combined voting — 1,480 — set in 1995 when Republicans controlled both chambers".

The problem is, it is not possible for either party to change the Senate, unless one party gains a 60-vote super-majority. Otherwise, the Senate is so bogged down with parliamentary procedures and obscure rules that noone can accomplish ANYTHING that resembles real change.

Yes , and the Republicans were no better . They are the left and right wings of the same bird .
Special interest groups have both parties working for them . Your going to end up at the same place , just depends , if you want the left or right exit .
This time send both parties a message they will never forget .
Go Independent !!!!
If you don't like who's running or what they stand for , look for someone else , you don't have to settle for who Special Interest groups are running as their Candidates .
Look for someone that you can identify with , and work to get them to run and be elected .
Get active in this process !!!

Well they keep trying, I'll give them credit for that. At least, from the interviews on CNN this AM, they are wanting our troops to direct their attention to areas where Al-Qaida has their base of operation. Pull out of the civil war they're involved in.

That sounds like a reasonable request to me. Then if the Al-Qaida move go after their next base of operation.

As poor as they have been, I still approve of them over the past congress. So do more of the American people.

Too bad you don't see how poor things were before. It was like leaving the mouse in the cheese store, and the rats to patrol.

This Congress has been in effect for 7 months.

Bush has had 6 years to ruin the country, and if you're not going to give Congress a chance, no way should you expect us to give that loser Bush any more of our trust.

Pretty large INCOMPLETE if not an F- they are not making the grade.
I believe that is because everyone is still too busy drawing lines in the sand rather than actually working together to build the sand castle.

Blame the voters for not putting enough DEMS in office.
Hell, the can't do it all by themselves. Aside from all that
look at what they have to work with.
