Are they talking about the real thing or a gala, you know a party, like the ball Cinderella went to? I always thought they were talking about the real thing, but someone told me they're actually talking about parties. That does make sense. Think about the lyrics & tell me what you think.

"think about the lyrics"??? Heck, I still know this song by heart from before I went to college, while serving in the military. The reality is on the one hand they ARE singing about the gala event if you will; however, the not so subliminal message (more in your face) is about the Big Balls - "swinging" - "to the left or to the right". The connotation, interpretation, and intent is purely sexual (as are most of the songs by ACDC). Ha ha!

The ball Cinderella went to was a party. You call it a ball when it is especially ritzy and dancing is expected.
Of course, the whole joke is that they get to keep telling you how big their balls are in a purposely transparent double-entendre.

I'm pretty sure it's about the parties BUT it's ACDC so who knows!
I love this song..I remember it from when I was a kid and I'd giggle in the backseat on road trips! lol

Both. It's a pun. Drove parents crazy for years when their kids listened to that song. Similar to the Aerosmith song "Big Ten-Inch Record"...referring of course, to a vinyl record... :)

lol, love that song. They used to play it every Friday @ 5:00 on the radio and my son laughed like hell (he always assumed they meant the ones like he had). I guess I though it was kinda both.
