It's all in the approach. Watch some infomercials. I watched a show one time where they talked about the "formula" they use on infomercials. The "wait! there's more!" approach. Maybe add a cheap little gimmick or extra something special..lower the price..etc. What are you trying to sell?

setup the product well. a well thought-out presentation will make them want to buy it! describe the ways the product will make their lives better and run from there.
for almost anything you have there should be someone out there who wants it.

Take a photo of it in good lighting, exaggerate the size and color, and then make all of it's uses seem like they're something positive you can't do without. Weasel Words+Photoshopped picture=$$$
