Hannah Montana films in Hollywood, not New York.
This sounds like a common scam so be careful. A company who really sells high priced classes advertises auditions for a Disney show but in the end they give you the hard sell on their classes for somewhere between $800 - $3000.
They have you audition by reading a short scene or commercial often from a well known product or even a Disney show. These pages are very easy to obtain or type up yourself... watch the show, copy the dialogue. That's all there is to it. They film you on camera and have you go to the next person who will either tell you that you have potential but you need to take their classes or tell you someone will call you if they're interested (and they'll always call because they want your money). I've heard that they put on the hard sell, meaning that often they try to pressure you into paying for several months of these classes by saying that they are only offering this opportunity to so many kids and you're really lucky to be getting this deal, and it's only available NOW, blah blah blah... If they're so reputable then why do they need you to pay NOW? Because they just care about getting your money. They prey on kids and parents with stars in their eyes... please don't fall for it. Don't give them any money.
Also you should know that REPUTABLE agents get 10% of your pay AFTER they help you get a job, no more than that and not a cent up front.
Yes you do need acting classes, but they shouldn't cost what they're charging! And you can find better teachers! They claim to have industry professionals, but are they really? Some companies also put famous faces on their websites or in the lobby of where they hold their so called auditions, but you should know that most or all of those people were never clients. Some don't know their image is being used by these companies and when they find out they sue. Lucille Ball, Henry Fonda, Marilyn Monroe & James Dean… some sued John Robert Powers for using their image and claiming they were former students who owed their success to the company (or some similar claim or inference). Many companies do the same by using photos of hot new stars... look carefully. Are there statements that say this person is our client or was discovered here? It may just be a photo, nothing more.

Sorry kid, this is a scam. A skilled scammer chooses their words very carefully. The people involved will have a peripheral
connection to these shows. And they tell you that about a remotely possible outcome of attending their classes. This is the most common scam in the business. They target kids and parents who think their kids are the greatest which is most parents. Don't get taken.

If that were true it would have been announced on the local news, and it was not mentioned.
