SO BASICALLY WHAT I MEAN IS THAT I SAVE EVERYTHING I DOWNLOAD ONTO MY THUMB DRIVE TO SAVE SPACE, SO I DON'T HAVE TO SAVE IT DIRECTLY ON MY COMPUTER HARD DRIVE. BUT WHEN I DOWNLOAD SOMETHING IT SAYS THAT THE FILE HAS BEEN COPIED INTO A FOLDER IN MY COMPUTER SOMETHING LIKE THIS "C:/USERS/___/OT552PII3..."

AND WHEN I CHECK MY HARD DRIVE STATUS, THE SPACE CAPACITY GOES DOWN. SO BASICALLY I'M STILL DOWNLOADING THINGS INTO MY COMPUTER, WHICH DEFEATED THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF BUYING A THUMB DRIVE.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME FIND THAT FOLDER IN MY COMPUTER SO I CAN DELETE THE FILES THERE!!!!

IT HIDES THE WHOLE ADDRESS OF WHERE THE FILE IS, AND WHEN I GO TO USERS AND ALL THE FOLDER ISN'T THERE...IS IT A HIDDEN FOLDER?? AND I HAVE A VISTA SO IT MAKES EVERYTHING A BIT MORE COMPLICATED...

Yes, the folder apparently is hidden from you. I don't know how to change the setting in Vista, but in XP you use the Tools/Folder Options menu selection, and in the View tab, there is a list of things you can set, particularly making hidden and system files visible. I'm sure Vista has the same capactiy, it just might be found in a different spot.

Also, I can adjust my settings regarding "special folders" (like CD burning temp directories, download directories, etc...) using Tweak XP. I don't know if a Tweak Vista app is available (it is considered a "Power Toy" -- Microsoft's term).

I hope these suggestions help you get closer to finding a solution.
