yes they do. we do not put them on at the hospital before going to the morgue, but the funeral home will ask the family if they want underwear put on theier loved one or not.

Yes. I worked in a funeral home for 8 years. We told the families to bring whatever they would wear every day. That includes underwear and a bra for ladies. Most families didn't do shoes but did socks.

Someone I know lost their spouse, and insisted that a certain pair of underwear be put on the body. They actually looked during the viewing, and the underwear weren't there, and they raised total hell until they were put on.

I think my father was wearing underwear during his viewing, too, come to think of it. Not that I looked.

Yes, the funeral home that had my father did have us bring an entire set of clothing, including underwear!!!

and pantyhose? interesting question, never though about it. the family picks everything out, so i guess its up to the individual. i personally would like undies on.
