In the novel Jailbird, by Kurt Vonnegut, there is an anecdote where the main character is offered a ride in the front seat of a limousine that has just dropped off a high ranking government official, who was surrendering himself to the prison where the main character had just been released from. He finds a toy steering wheel attached to the dash in front of him. The driver explaines that he some times takes his young son on trips, and the steering wheel lets him pretend to drive.
The main character comments that it is a comment on our governments efforts to steer the economy.

That would be my hubby...he works for the local school district and as we speak, he has a bus load of teenagers (God bless the man!) out at the schools for a total of 11 weeks recovering all the books. 21 schools in all...ouch.
