i think every one has an accent of where they have been living for a long time. The only time we notice it when we talk to a foreigner in the same language, say english. then you will see, how they speak it and how you speak it is kind of different.

Yes, I do. It is generic Southern. I can do impeccable replicas of Tennessee and Georgia! My true speech pattern is laced with traces of my Northern roots...though my Yankee relatives call me not.
