Possibly. Currently he's having 700 wickets from 113 test matches. That's an average of around 6.195 wickets per match. So statistically he needs to play 162 test matches to achieve the 1,000. Sri Lanka plays around 10 tests for a year and if he can keep playing for another 5 years or so don't see why not he can't achieve it.
That's all figures I'm afraid. The real factor will be his application to the game and whether the present batsmen or the guys to come can manage his ever evolving trickery.

I hope he does though.

He sure will, if he plays till 2011. He needs another 300 wckets and he will require 35-40 matches to get there. But considering that he has got to every hundreth wicket faster than the previous one, he may get there sooner than we think. Check his progress after 2001. You will get the idea. ( Sri lanka only gets about 8-10 test matches for a year. If they get more matches like Australia and England do - Shane Warne had that advantage too - He would have reached 1000 wickets already. I'm not fibbing. every one with a neutral mind can agree to it)

sure, actually! The humorous concern is that none of those issues quite count variety! each and every thing has a tendency to even out whilst the toddlers become older! My 8 month previous would not carry his bottle on his very own, and in simple terms the day gone by I discovered that everyones toddler over 2 months previous can carry their very very own bottle! It may be the smallest bottle with no longer something in it, or those babies are astonishing! as far as walking at 6 months- my son, who has been applying a jumperoo by using fact 4 months previous- might desire to truly stand with counsel earlier dropping his stability. If he had walked the load of his head might have set for a nostril-dive right now to the floor. He did say "mama" at 6 weeks. LOL

It depends how long he can continue to play.If he continues to play another 50 or 60 test matches, he can defenitely achieve the milestone of 1000 wicketsin test cricket.
