Surely ya teasin' me! A female gator will generally try to keep her young.(from hatchling till 10-12 inches long) in a secluded area and in time of danger will allow them to take refuge in her mouth. After which the clutch will find a somewhat safe place to congregate and then leave.(from what I can tell when they get brave enough to go on their own) But, when the clutch finds that "safe area" I can make their distress call and ole' MaMa will come will right up to ya.(I am in a boat) There's
people that have never even fish swim free in a river. Boy, they would freak-out to see a group of "sea-cows" (Manatee's) traveling togather. Thank God, I'm a country-boy!

All the time ! I live in the forest in Fla. Close to the ocean. Ditto Bubba and LeRoy.

You should come down sometime and we can go polling through the flats. You can see all manner of creatures and critters there.
