I got my belly pierced 2 months ago and I was wondering will it be safe to swim in chlorine pools?

should be fine unless its oozing something nasty and has a nasty red ring with heat and pain around the piercing! In this case you would need antibiotics!!!!

Can you go swimming with a new belly button piercing?

Swimming is not forbidden but you should only swim in pools that are thoroughly chlorinated. Keep your belly button piercing covered (bandaged) during swimming when possible.

Get some of that nifty medical tape!

I should be healed in 2 months, if it's not you should see a doctor. If it's healed, then it's as safe as any other time.

Chlorinated water still has a lot of germs floating around, so any open wound, like a piercing that hasn't healed, could be trouble.

Of course it is. If the would is still oozing or open, then you better seek medical attention, because something is NOT right. After two months, everything should be healed.

Yes, you should do an extra cleaning after swimming. Use your antibacterial soap and spritz with bactine.

No. wound must have no puss/build-up and no pinkness. If you do go swimming and it gets infected - you can use sea salt in water daily to rid your infection.

no, even the chlorine can't keep those festering cesspools clean. go to the beach, the salt water will even help it heal faster
