"Dolphie" was nuts...... a brilliant loony, but a loony all the same...... the brilliance made him all the more dangerous......
Bush is at the other extreme of the "brain matter" meter..... he's just plain stupid...... and that makes him even more dangerous..... like ur pet monkey playing with ur 12-gauge shotgun. He won't realise what he's doing till he shoots himself in the foot.... god-damn miracle he can still walk.....

Wow - this is really stupid. Guantanamo Bay is not a concentration camp - it is a prison that holds terrorists and enemy combatants who have killed or attempted to kill American solders. Besides, in Nazi Germany we wouldn't be having this discussion in an open Internet forum like Yahoo!Answers. As for Bushes grandfather being a Nazi sympathizer before WWII, you must realize that many people in America were openly anti-Semitic - a sad but true fact. Bush Sr. fought honorably and courageously in that same war to keep these freedoms we have to criticize his son. I am not going to attack an entire family because of disagreements I have with one member.

not bush, but the neoconservatives in general.
my main comparison would be their particular talent for coining clever phrases - this was a specialty of the nazi leadership and their propagandists.
bush made statements that amounted to things like:
"hey i know i'm not as smart or qualified as john kerry, but at least i'm consistent."
and when put to the people in the right way, they bought it.
also look at the way they select certain words to be villified - words like 'liberal' which they have succeeded in reducing to the level of an obscenity.
sort of the way nazis demonized the word 'jew.'
there is a whole language of nazi catchphrases - phrases like endlosung (final solution) and leibensraum (literally, elbow room). they put these to the public in a way that empowered them. basically, they told the german people what they wanted to hear - that they would redistribute wealth (something they never dreamed of doing, but sounded good during elections) when in fact hitler and gustav krupp were fast friends. this is why some insane cons will say that hitler was actually a leftist - this same empty headed jargon that worked on the german public is still working on them. hitler, it seems, manipulates right wing shills from beyond the grave.
also, what's up with the people attending bush/chendy campaign rallies either needing to be registered repubs or signing 'loyalty oaths?' this was the most under reported story of the 04 election.
hitler LOVED loyalty oaths and made all sorts of people sign them - some of these made for some of the strangest exchanges at nuremburg.
to the guy below me, who apparantly didn't understand the question - the comparison is to bush - not america...

One of the first things Hitler did was take away the right to own a gun, that's something liberals want. Hitler invaded w/o provocation, we were provoked, in case you forgot. Hitler was a well practiced speaker that did not answer Q's. Bush is not and does. That means what he is saying is heart felt.

The comparison stems from the fact that Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a Nazi sympathizer and financier of Hitler's war efforts.
Look it up for yourself. Use any search engine that isn't corrupted. Type in "Bush, Nazi, Connection."
You will understand.

what an apt comparison, I hadn't really thought about it. Yes, of course, they both whip up their people into a warlike state through their xenophobic oratory, then they go and invade other countries at great expense to their own. They both even have concentration camps - Hitler with Auschwitz etc and Bush with Guantanamo Bay. We'll just have to wait and see if Bush gets defeated as Hitler did - fingers crossed.

What. First of all Bush isn't killing people because of who they are, Hitler did. The people who are at war right now chose to be. Even if Bush isn't a good speaker at least he isn't killing people because of their religion. I don't even like Bush and i think that's ridiculous.
