Well, my dad has a Ford 4000 built in the 1960's that is still going strong.

If you're asking about garden tractors, most are built by the same factory, regardless of brand. Even John Deere.

MTD is the company that manufactures most consumer-line mowers and garden tractors.

So there really isn't much difference in any of them, unless you pay more money for a higher-end brand like Snapper or some of the higher-end models that companies like John Deere or Cub Cadet sell.

Rule of thumb: If it seems like a good price, it's probably because it was made cheaply.
