I\'m 23 right now and currently living in the United States. This Fall I plan to be studying at conservatoire at the Hague in the Netherlands. I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find information about f rooms or apartments in the Hague? I\'m going by myself and would prefer a single room, but I could share a room as long as I am able to maintain my own privacy and that I don\'t get distracted by my tenent talking on the phone or playing music. I plan to be moving around late August (and so I would like something available by September 1st and a room that is at most 6 months min.). I would like a place that is under 500 euros a month. Since classes start near the beginning of September. I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find a place to stay in the Netherlands?

I would like to thank those who were able to answer from my previous post. I did find some of the sites to be helpful.

Did you ask your contact at the school?

Some houses that will be taken down are available for a few years, site only in Dutch:
http://www.kabk.nl/algemene_informatie/huisvesting/index/-/nl
http://070-wonen.startpagina.nl/ (click on 'meer studenten huisvesting' and then you get a list of sites with several students housing sites under that heading, this site is also just in Dutch.)
http://www.studentsplaza.nl/ (If you do not see the names of many towns with housing links you need to click on 'wonen' in the heading of the page, in the yellow field.)

I hope you succeed, and I look forward hearing you, in a couple of years, on the big stage.

I found this link in an other answer:
http://www.kamernet.nl/ ( You need 'kamer huren' and for the town you might need Den Haag or even 's Gravenshage, the older name.)
(I do not know how trustworthy any of my links are.)

There is a special site in English on info on The Hague
www.denhaag.com. Go to: Relocation and settling (in the green left side) than: Housing scroll here till : Accomodations for students. Then there a 3 sites (unfortunately I think 2 are in Dutch but DUWO should be in English.
BTW have you tried finding a place through school? Sometime they can help, especcially foreign students.
Good luck, with your study and finding a place to stay
