The first one that comes to mind is that they all spoke with Southern accents. (A number of later cowboys did indeed, as they were ex-Confederate soldiers.)

The cowboy life was glamorous.
Cowboys would ride the same horse all day.
Women could not be cowboys.
Cowboys had to fight off Indians all the time.
The word was invented in Texas. (It comes from "vaquero.")

There are a ton of myth that are associated with cowboys..... The ghost riders are just one of the many......... Also in the beginning 7 out of 10 cowboys were black and 2 were Mexican and only one out of every ten cowboys was white.... And these are historical facts.................... But as for myths there are many book that tells you all about them..... You would be better off just reading one of them............................... Use your search engine or visit your local library......................................................................................
