I have had a period since but I notice that it last longer than it did before i started the shot. Now this month i have been bleeding for two weeks can it still be from the shot or is it serious.

It's very possible that a hormonal imbalance is occurring, so you will need to see your doctor. Typically any bleeding that lasts 10 or more days needs to be evaluated by a doctor. If you are changing one or more pads or tampons in an hour or less, you need to see a doctor immediately as this can lead to anemia. Period abnormalities are common after going off depo, but more than 10 days needs to be checked out so please see your doctor. Your doctor will most likely check your hormone levels via blood test.

It is from the shot. I know people that bleed for months at a time from the shot. It's bad news and has left many people I know with bad side effects.

It can still be because of the shot. It can take a while for your body to recover from the effects of depo to your system.

You could still talk to the doctor just in case and see what he/she says.
