i was just wondering if this was an issue. sometimes i get the gooey egg white stretchy stuff, but last month i didnt (and did not conceive) and so far i havent this month either (i'm on day13). i have the creamy consistancy but that's it. and i have been drinking plenty of water to help it out!! does anyone know the liklihood of getting pregnant without an abundance of mucus?

You need to have the mucus there - the absence means your estrogen is low. The sperm transfer from the seminal fluid to your cervical mucus which carries it up to the egg. The cervical fluid is what preserves the sperm for the 3-5 days it lives, without it the sperm cannot survive.
Evening Primrose oil or B6 helps out in that department.

Good Luck!

You can get pregnant but that cervical fluid is definately helpful. There is a product out called Pre-seed. It is a lubricant that helps with this issue. I have heard some women take Robitussin(plain) and that thins out the cervical mucus. You need to discuss this with your doctor because there are different vitamins and hormone supplements available that help with this. Or you could do artificial insemmination. They just insert your husbands sperm in your uterus around your ovulation date to avoid the cervix all together. Good luck. I don't think this is a serious problem from all that I have researched.

I am kinda in the same boat. I know that I ovulated last month because the OPK was positive a couple of days and I felt it, But I don't ever remember seeing the right kind of cm. We didn't get pregnant. But this month we are trying preseed to see if it helps. Take your prenatal vitamins and keep drinking planty of water. If you don't want to wait and order it online you can go to preseed.com and find a store near you. There were only two stores in my city that sold the stuff and they were all the way across town but I didn't want to wait for it to come in. It is kind expensive stuff but supposedly it works. Good luck and baby dust to you.

I have the same problem. I was able to get pregnant with my daughter the first month i tried though. This time around it's taking longer so I'm ordering pre-seed which is supposed to help with that. Without the fertile CM the sperm won't live very long.

I too am lacking and any amount of pre-seed I use won't help me, or so the Fertility Specialist tells me. My estrogen level is perfect, my progesterone level is perfect. It's just the mucus! I too drink plenty of water. It's one of those mysteries of the human body! You might want to talk to your dr about it. The way we found out about mine was (aside from me never seeing the cm that other's refer to) by doing a post coital test, post sex test. They found that after 4 hours not enough sperm had gotten to the uterus.

Good luck!

your O day may not have come yet. I have read that if you take regular robatussin (spelling) the week after AF until O day than this will help with getting the CF to the raw egg white consistency. I have just tried this method this month and it did seem to work alitle. Good luck.

Appears like you're geting capable to, when it will get wetter you'll be about to rather soon. I get excessive tender and open for approximately 6 days, first it can be creamy then the last 2 days it's slippery. You are fertile now so if you're making an attempt go for it.

It is possible but more difficult without the correct cervical fluid. Healthy cervical fluid is needed to transport the sperm.

Try pre-seed which you canorder on-line which mimics the cervical fluid. You can also try green tea and regular robitussin cough syrup to increase cervical fluid.
