DO you think it is because people hate democrats and love republicans? Do you think that is good news for either of the two current ruling parties? Or could it be that the vast majority of americans do not have faith in EITHER party?

some seem to forget that congress is pretty evenly split, they aren't 'democrats' they are both.

solutions HAVE been brought forth, with the MAJORITY of congress, who were elected by the MAJORITY of the people. The WH has stood in the way of every attempt at accountability, and the reps are following their leader. OPEN YOUR EYES!

I think they are so low because of the antics and the totally irrelevant issues they are blowing up to be something. They have done nothing to move this country forward except to embolden the terrorist, try to go after the first amendment. They have done nothing for national security accept to want to give amnesty to 13 millions illegals. They are so far away from the agenda of the American people that I'm not sure we can get them back on track. AGAIN the democrats have not brought forth ANY solutions for any problems in this country that were acceptable to the majority of Americans. In other words business as usual.

Your last suggestion seems to hit the nail on the head. People just don't have faith in either party. Every politician is trying to be everything to everyone. No one wants to take a stand on anything because they might offend someone. Did you see the Republican debate? Did you see any Republicans there? Did you notice that Rudy didn't come up with anything that Hillary didn't come up with before? Where are the Republicans?

I don't know about everyone else, but effectually they have done nothing since the new congress was sworn in. A couple bills at the beginning, but mainly they have just been fighting about non-binding resolutions on Iraq. I wish I could get paid to NOT do my job like all of these yahoos down in DC - both sides of the isle alike.

Congresses approval ratings are so low because both parties stink and Americans are starting to realize this. Americans are realizing that both parties are looking out for their own interests and not ours as Americans.

Neither party wants fix problems just blame the other party.

The difference is the majority are democrat and don't know how to effectively change things with a republican administration. Now when Clinton was president his republican ruled senate controlled him, by their use of power they shut welfare agencies down just to force him to sign a welfare reform bill. They have not given Bush any reason to fear them. They look cowardly that's all.

I think you got it right in the last sentence.

I think the overall credibility of all of our leaders is in question these days.

How many more scandals from the White House, Congress, and the Senate will it take before we all start voting for the green party ?..or just stop voting all together ?

Because no matter what it's business as usual. Corruption is king in Washington and everyone says they will clean it up, but it only gets worse. Changing rules to protect corrupt leaders seems to be more important than doing what's in the best interest of the country. And no one has the balls to stand up to the president and say "enough already, it's time for you to go."

It's complete failure on both sides and penelope proves my point. Partisan to the hardcore. If anyone disagrees with her party it's a name calling free for all with absolutely no wit, or reason. This will absolutely get America no where fast. Whereas real debate, and real thought processes based on facts and not trumped up ideology, will move America forward.

Both parties have failed to realize that the vast majority of Americans are right smack in the middle, not leaning to the far left or far right.

But they don't care. It's all about their own political parties and getting re-elected. It's really sad. I trust none of them.
