Depends on what the foul was. Forgiving and forgetting that a man neglects household chores or puts the fellas before his woman sometimes is fairly easy for most women forget about eventually.
Forgetting more serious fouls like infedility and lying is much more difficult. If she's still with ya and working on things, she most likely forgave you, but she can't forget it lest she allow you to hurt her again.

Because if your hurt deeply it is simply impossible to forget (or even forgive in some cases but I know that that was not the question).Not all men are insensitive either so they can carry hurts around with them too - but they are less likely to talk about them and they *should* - that helps to heal if not to fully forget.

Why should she? Forgiving is very hard to do in the first place, and most don't deserve it. It would be stupid for a women or man to forget something, especially since more often then not it will happen again.

She is only human.Just as you would want patience and understanding you should give her that time so that she can heal.Maybe she forgave you but the problem was never resolved.
You should try to regain her trust whatver it takes from you.Give patience and understanding as well.Grovel if you must to win back her trust

I dont think that just lays with a women. People try to forgive but it is very hard to forget the hurt that was caused.

Once you put your trust in someone wholeheartedly & they betray you on the deepest level, you can forgive them but never forget & truly your heart & emotions are confused, resentful, damaged & ever so sorrowful & especially apprehensive to ever be able to fully trust again - doubtful thoughts will always be lurking....

Because of fear that what was forgiven might happen again and looking foolish for forgiving in the first place.
Does that help? Not really?

Forgiving means she want's to move on, it's the right thing to do if you love someone. Forgetting the pain leaves you vulnerable for it to happen again.

Women are able to look past things and forgive when we want to hang on to the person who hurt us. That doesn't mean she will forget it. Why would she?
