Gee, I thought the strategy was to beat up on Harry Reid, the actual leader. Where do you get this?

Thank you steinerrw! I do not know Senator Byrd. But West Virginia is my home state (I am a Huntington girl, born and raised), I have heard, and read of a lot of complaints over many years, about Senator Byrd's "excessive" pork barrel spending. But, West Virginia is a very depressed state, and honestly needs all the help it can get. So, how can taking care of West Virginia be wrong. If West Virginia was a rich state, THEN it would be wrong! *sm*

Robert Byrd is a true American hero and one of our last statesmen with courage and integrity. And these are not words I use lightly.

I fully support Sen. Byrd. I have a picture of him in my living room, to remind me that our government is not entirely corrupted, dysfunctional and lost. Byrd is one of the most wise and courageous people in our government today.

Believe me when I say if I lived in West Virginia I would have voted for this man every single time he was up for re-election. We need more people like Robert Byrd in government today.

"That White House crowd needs to be reminded that they work for we the people! They need to be reminded that the Golden Rule is not just good scripture to live by, they need to understand that the Golden Rule is good policy to govern by!" -

Sen. Byrd

Senator Byrd voted against the Leave No Illegal Alien Behind Amnesty Act pushed by Bush, McCain, Specter, Bennett, Craig, Gregg, Hagel, Kyl, Lott, Lugar, Martinez, Snowe and Mexican Presidente Calderon.

I support Senator Byrd.

The answer to that is NO, so it appears it is not part of what you call "the problem".

i was unaware that adult americans needed poster children for anything.

perhaps it's your need for infantile symbols like 'poster children' that is part of the problem.

hope this helps...

No he is not. Why should he and why would he want to be. I know the man and all he has tried to do is take care of his state then the US, like any other politician would do.

i just watched his analyst of the problem...he has no relevance anymore and based on his history, still a member of the 'good old boys' club, just different approaches today.

I'll bet he'd love to whip Obama, "like in the good olde days of the South", when Democrats ran it.
