Long Cry From Home, and maybe name the character like Dimensia or something, relating to Psuedo Dimensia, which means to forget things/memories. Just a suggestion, good luck with your story and title though!

"The Slums" That's right. Keep it simple. Or how about "Runaway"? Many of my favorite books have the last couple words as the title. For example, the book "I am the Cheese" ends with the words "I am the cheese." (not counting the epilogue i.e. the sientist's journal). Maybe you could go along those lines.

It would have been nice for a little more information about the story, but these are a couple of titles that I came up with from the description you gave.
Good luck with you story!
