This website has good examples http://www.peeonastick.com It really helped when I was unsure of the lines. But basically what the first answer said. A positive is the colour of the control line and an evaporation line is greyish white and you have to look really hard to see it!

A positive will show up within the time limit, and be the color of the ink (usually pink or blue) however light it may be. An evap line shows up afetr the time limit usually and is usually white.

an evap line will be grayish, or hard to really see. a positive one will be the color of the control line :)
and also the positive one will show up in under 10 minutes, whereas the evap might show up in 15min to an hour.

AN EVAPORATION LINE IS CLEAR KINDA GREY OR COLORLESS. A POS. LINE HAS COLOR SIMILAR TO THE CONTROL LINE.

spend a little more and buy a clearblue digital test. there are no lines to read - it says in words- pregnant or not pregnant
