You will never got the wholle picture how did they do that ,
Its google , but here it may go with you , first of all the ip ,
ALSO they watch the forums for adsense puplishers . . .
its just too difficult to guess ,

Rule 1: You are not allowed to click on your own ads - Your computer has it's own unique IP address. Google can tell if the clicks are coming from your own computer.
2. Multiple clicks from others. If you ask your friends to multiple click on your ads, the same thing goes. Google can tell whether there are multiple clicks all coming from the same IP address and that sends up a red flag.
They would also have software that looks for behaviour out of the ordinary. If it continues, then they will suspend your account. It is fraud after all that they are trying to prevent.
