Mel Gibson would be over in Iraq fighting this war on a horse if her were President... And he'd probably do some serious damage too.

He is not an American so he wouldn't get my vote. All he is qualified for is getting arrest by the cops for drunk driving - oh wait - that happened to the current President too (so I guess that might qualify him for President in your mind?) - if there just wasn't that anti-Semitic issues he has then maybe (and if he was American) you might have a limited point to say he is as qualified as the current bozos. The only leadership Gibson has ever shown is when he is acting - otherwise he should just keep on making movies and babies with his wife - both are things I hear he is good at.

Good Luck!!!

I wouldn't vote for Mel Gibson if he was running for city rodent-exterminator. He is just another one of an increasing number of individuals who have used their so-called celebrity in show-biz to get up in front of a crowd and shoot off their mouths on issues about which they have little or no genuine knowledge.
We all at some point in our lives find ourselves grinding our teeth over some particular public issue that galls us and becomes a personal "bee in our bonnet". We are viewing that issue from our own limited personal perspective, and forming our opinion on it, and how it ought to be handled, based on that. But "issues" are like icebergs....... you only get to see one fifth of it above the surface, and you can never truly claim to know what you are talking about until you have been in a position to closely examine the other four fifths below the surface and out of sight.
Movie actors and other celebs spend most of their waking lives doing what they do for a living, or engaged in wild and wacky social carousing. There just are not enough hours in the day that they would ever have had the time (much less the inclination) to delve the full depths of whatever "pet issue" they have chosen to embrace, and then shoot off their mouths about as if they knew it all.

I wouldn't because I am Canadian and can not vote in your elections, just like Mel Gibson could not run for President since he is Australian.

No. He'd have too much ground to cover in pissing off Christians and Muslims as much as he has Jews. Besides, I don't know that the White House would have enough bedrooms for all his family.

As long as Arnold Schwarzenegger would be Vice President - let's vote on letting people from other countries being allowed to run for the U.S.A. Presidency, dual citizenship....
