Does the town of Stars Hollow actually exist, or is it a Hollywood backlot? The town looks too quaint and good to be true and I was just wondering if it was a real town somewhere!

Stars Hollow is the fictional small town (population: 9973) in the U.S. state of Connecticut that is the setting for the CW series Gilmore Girls. The town square has a gazebo which has the town's Liberty Bell sign, which reads: "The bell at Stars Hollow was cast in 1780 to celebrate the first anniversary of the town.Many of the sets for Stars Hollow were also used in The Music Man, The Dukes of Hazzard, and The Waltons. donna is right, its was filmed at the Warner Brothers Studio. if you go there and take the studio backlot tour, you can seen the town, its used for a lot of other shows too, you'll probably recognize things as they go around.. when I took the WB tour, Gilmore Girls had just started, so we got to see the grandparents house as well as the town square.. they were really pushing the new show..
just off from where the gazebo is standing, is the Growing Pains house. ( they never show it on GG. I tell you, you'll see alot if you go there. I recommend the tour..

the town's made up, unfortunately it'd be cool to live in with kirk and taylor being weird and the town meetings.
