Also note that the Libs tried to change the rules for a simple up or down vote, instead of the 60 vote requirement. I thought the Libs protected the rights of minorities? Except when you disagree with them.

Your crash and burn comment is just a trifle in error. Did you count the vote. More voted to stop the war and bring the men home than to continue status quo. Only reason it did not pass on this vote as because Republicans required 10 more votes than a simple majority for it to pass.
In other words, the majority did not rule in The Senate---last night---Better get on the side of the majority of The American People---This war will come to an end by the pressure of the AMerican people. Even the Pres. of Iraq told us to go home
last weekend----Crashed and burned-Give me a break.

Let me ask you a question, how long should we stay? And if you come back with the old when our mission is accomplished. I'll ask you what the mission is, and then I'll say wasn't the mission to remove Saddam and his regime from power. (already accomplished). What retreat in defeat. What are you looking for in victory???? Do you even know what the fight is for??? If it's against terrorists then we should be all out in afghanistan/pakistan to take out the leadership. That whole "overnighter" was nothing more than a publicity stunt by the losers on the left IE.. Pelosi, Reid ET. AL. They have no interest in Bipartisanship what so ever , it' nothing more than a play for power and everything else be dammed .
