Im gona under drive the fan using the 12V than blowing the circuit using the 5V wire...
so should I connect the positive terminal to 12 V and the negative to ground? is that how it works?

Red 5V

Looking into the connector on the fan, with the polarizing angles up, the left pin is 5V the right is 12 V center two are ground.

Either you are going to under drive the fan if it is a 12 V fan, or over drive it if it is 5V. If you are using a standard 9V pile battery it is not going to last very long either.

yes just connect the possitive wire to the possitive pole and the negative wire to the negative pole, you can reverse the connection but it is not recomended because the rotation of the fan will be reverse too.

hi particular you may, you may purchase FDD 4 pin Molex to finished length Molex adapters or in simple terms butcher the cable and solder the hot MOLEX on and use some electric powered tape on the bare wires (does not seem exceedingly).
