Hi! I am going to visit Amsterdam the last weekend of Sept. of this year with my boyfriend. Where should I stay (not too pricey, but not too crummy either)? What should I definitely check out? Thanks!

Amsterdam has many hotels and hostels in about any price class (except the most expensive,) so best contact the tourist information or use a guidebook.

For thing to do, there are more museums per square kilometer than in any other town.
From handbags and pianola's to classical art and Van Gogh paintings.
You can find a list of the museums on this site: http://www.amsterdamtourist.com/

Or you can shop, have a drink in a 'bruin cafe' (traditional pub,) go to the market, leave the town for at least a day to see something of the country (almost all smaller towns in the Netherlands are worth visiting), or do the things all other tourist do.
