My 7 year old took 3 classes a week, my 16 year old took 10 classes a week for a total of 13 hours.

When I was student teaching in college, I took three dance classes a week...2 hip hop and 1 ballet. Unfortunately, I haven't taken dance classes since then...so I haven't taken dance now for almost two years. However, I would like to take some classes again for the fun of it. :)

it depends on the how many kinds of dance you take and at what level. When i took dance, I was kind of in the middle levelwise. I took ballet and jazz. I was taking about 5 classes a week. but my sister who was a couple years ahead of me was in ballet,jazz,and pointe took 7-9 classes a week depending on what was going on at the dance studio.

Last year I took two classes- jazz and ballet- a week. Next year, if I make my studio's competition team, I will be taking four- two ballet, two jazz- a week. If I don't make it, I will be taking two again- jazz and ballet. Have fun dancing, you dance a lot! Good luck for your future and keep on dancing!

i personally only have time for five classes a week but i would prefer eight to ten classes

17. They are all about and 45 minutes to an hour and a half. The dance studio is my second home.
