Without judging on the merits of the eviction, allow me to point out that Bangladesh is among the most highly and densely populated countries in the world.

I thought this 'eviction' phenomenon and the psychological scar it has created in many parts of the world are not easy to go away. Consider the mass exodus (for whatever the reason) happened from historical times and even in modern history when the Palestinians were evicted, Kashmiris on both the LoC are divided and former Yugoslavia where Muslims were driven away from their ancestral properties.
The Indo-Pak partition of 1947 saw not only raw nerve in play but one of the most uncivilized events of mass murder, looting, arson and what not happened under the tutelage of the then politicians who were busy with their other agendas.
Now about the matter of Bangladeshi Hindus evicted since 1947 and 1965 and lastly in 1971 who took shelter in India as refugees, I think by now they have assimilated well over there. Think of the same scenario happening in U.S.A., albeit different, where religion is absent, and the native (Red Indian) feel that their lands and properties were swarmed by 'foreigners' coming mainly from Europe some 500 years ago when Columbus first set foot on that part of the world. Now these same naturalized Americans are feeling jittery about new immigrants, whether they come legally by the virtue of their having D.V. Visa or Emigrant Visa, or whether they are sneaking past the borders between Mexico and Canada with U.S.
So, if the Muslim Refugees living in Pakistan and Bangladesh raise their voice and claim their ancestral properties those they left behind in present day India, to avoid religious persecution in India, would India consider dishing out some land to these unfortunate Muslim refugees?
You may come to the finer point of who were persecuted and who left voluntarily. Please consider this point, will there be mass exodus of the 1947, 1965 and 1971 scale. Had there not been any sort of religious persecution of the Muslims in most cases and Hindus in some cases?
My question: Would you consider leaving India for settling in any developed country if you had the scope of fulfilling minimum basic requirements and living there for many generations? There may however be a few exceptions where people would opt to go for improving their lot. But I'm talking about mass exodus and all such events are caused by some kind of persecution.
Therefore, please go through the unbiased history books and also unbiased news channels (both electronic and print) those may help set the records straight and free people from having 'victim' mentality and destroy whatever peace and harmony those exist among these South Asian nations.
Have a nice day!

I think most people from Bangladesh assume that Hindus belong in India. Bangladesh was created from Pakistan which separated from India because of the conflict between Hindus and Muslims.

Yes, they have to give some land for the Hindus if they(Bangladesh Government) have ethics, legally & morally. But who will bell the cat is the question? If all are honest this whole World will be a peaceful place to live. Please note that Pakistan & Bangladesh are slowly becoming 100% Muslim country. No place for Hindus. Hindus in Pakistan & Bangladesh will have nothing to do since it will be a Muslim ruled Arabian country.

Pakistan which is formed because of some muslims intolerance for other religions and culture did not change its colors in east pakistan. These chaps from west pakistan have illtreared the bengalis and their women.
They have not bothered to develop the poor people. This arrogance in some of the muslims is the root cause of all problems in Indian sub continent. They ahve not learned their lesson even after Bangladesh won its war of independence with moral support of India. Now it is sure to loose both Sindh and
Baluchistan. The small piece remaining can be sold to America as India will not pay a damned cent for that quarelsome people.

It will never happen. Thinks of Hindus from our own country i.e. Kashmir they are displaced in their own country without proper rehabilitation, how come an Islamic country extend rehabilitation for evicted Hindus. Neither India nor Bangladesh will help Hindus. They have to survive on their own or convert to other religion which has political support.

Only if India would give Pakistan land for it's abuse of Muslims. Besides the problem of Bangladesh was caused partly by India. India took that land from Pakistan to create Bangladesh. It has to take responsibility of what happens in Bangladesh to some degree.

When India lost this year's cricket World Cup, the Bangladeshi colors was in the air on Indian soil. On the other side, Bangladeshis have great love for India.
I dont know why people like you take the negative parts of history and make up stupid questions.
What you are doing is the same as fanatic Islamists who raise hate based on religions.
