Good one, you must have known this would get right up a lot of noses!!! Mine included. She would really love that wouldnt she?
I was very pleased when she fell flat on her face on USA TV.
David is also a sparkling personality isn't he, he will go down well on TV in the States , he is thick as two short planks.
I remember when he was on UK TV, It was for charity 'Who wants to be a millionare' !
He needed to phone a friend for help with a question.
The quizmaster called the friend and said "I am calling for Dave Beckham, if you can help him with the answer to this, his first question, you will win him £100.!!

I like Victoria Beckham but what has she done for the country to be made a Lady? If David was honoured then she would be Lady Beckham and not Lady Victoria. And since David would no longer be a British tax payer then he wouldn't be able to become a Sir. I have got plenty of 'Sir' friends and honoured friends so I know the system and unless in the future they move back here then they won't become Sir David and Lady Beckham.

I would nominate myself because I'd quite like to become a dame!

As much as I think Beckham is a much better player than he is given credit for and is merely a victim of the oft-times hysterical and cyncical media....I think it would be well over the top to go handing out titles and the likes to either him or his wife. The man's a football player (a football player who some are willing to pay mega-bucks for admittedly) for God's sake....not some sort of Superman or SuperHero to be placed on a pedestal above all other mortals. Even less of the same for Victoria!

Well as the terrace chant used to go,
"Posh Spice is a slapper
She wears a Wonder Bra
And when she's nailing Beckham
She thinks of Ginola!"

What HAS she done to deserve it?
Maybe she might have got one under Blair ,give him enough money and he made anyone a peer.
It`s sad that nowadays decorations/titles etc. are given out like sweets for no other reason than that you`re the friend of a politician or you bung another one a "loan".
We even treat our Military Veterans like third-class citizens ,they are "good enough" to die for us but how do we reward them ?A great example - an elderly Ghurka in the twilight of his life is refused British citizenship until a massive stink is made. How about the Colonel-Commanding of our elite SAS is removed for being "too brave" .

Absolutely not, what about the Brithish people who do "real jobs", and they are not adored the way "SHE" is, so she has a good looking husband....................and what?
I would nominate all the doctors, nurses, policemen and women, all the soldiers, the list is endless and the reason, well that should be self explanatory.

Only if you want to see all the valuable and worthwhile contributions made by other Brits who've been knighted (or female equivalent) completely devalued. I exclude Salman Rushdie from that group BTW.
