Where can I find a large jar with a screw on metal lid?

I am located in Toronto Canada. This jar should be about the size of a football. I need it because I have been tasked with bringing it to a stag and doe where a shot glass will be placed inside. A slot will be cut in the lid and people will drop coins in. If their coin lands and stays in the shot glass then they get the contents of the jar.

Try going to a second hand store, a yard sale, estate sales, etc. Also the suggestion of a restaurant is good. you can buy them sometimes at discount or department stores, they call them ice tea jugs (or suntea jugs).

Sometimes grocery stores sell those mason jars of all different sizes- they are glass with a screw on lid, and they are sold empty, for you to fill up, so you won't even have to clean it. Also try an arts and crafts store, or a store that sells kitchen supplies if you cannot find it at the supermarket.

Do you have the large warehouse stores there?, like costco or Sams. Look for a large jar of pickles. You can trans the contents to smaller jars if you don't want to waste.
