nah. They already have 3 qb's who should be backups on their roster. They don't need a 4th.

Should they, yes. Will they try, no. Will they get him, not a chance.
They should because they are going to need a QB for this season. Romeo's job depends on this year and I think he's a good coach that got a bad team to start with and he is slowly improving it. Culpepper has the ability to score those 41 TDs in one season again. With an improving line (Joe Thomas and Bentley could be back), Culpepper may get to 3 mississippi before getting sacked, unlike Minnisoda and Miami.
They won't try cause they are try to give away as much as they can to Quinn. Quinn is going to be tough to sign, and it's going to cost them a lot. What franchise wants to do that with 2 QBs at the same time.
They won't get him cause Culpepper has opportunities to play else where and he could keep a job instead of giving it to Quinn. Jacksonville looks very likely, but other teams are interested as well. He needs to find a team fast so he can learn the plays and practice them, before the season. I see him being a backup to Leftwich in Jacksonville and starts about week 6 when Leftwich goes down again. Then, he regains his confidences and produces average numbers this year (14 TDs, 7 INTS in 10 games).

As much as i loved Culpepper as a player ever since him and Randy Moss led the Vikings highlight reel years ago I am sorry to say that the Browns should probably pass on him.
Culpepper was a great player, but he has fallen into a serious injury hole and his mobility and confidence have been comprimised because of injuries and knee surgeries unfortunately.
The Browns really need to put exra time into developing both Frye and Quinn to attempt to make one of them a Franchine QB to lead the club out of the dark ages and back into contention for a divisional title over the coming years.
While Culpepper is probably still better than Quinn or Frye at the moment, he will only be a temporary fix to a problem that needs a long term solution!

no, Daunte Culpepper is not as good as once was and he is getting pretty old. Brady Quinn is young and healthy, even though Daunte has a lot of experiance under his uniform, he is ready to retire and go home to spend the rest of his career with his family and let Brady play like he shoud because he has no experience, he is'nt going to do good in the beginning. After the preseason watch Brady Quinn explode out there. He mayy make it into the Pro Bowl in a couple of more seasons.

How has Brady Quinn been poor when he has yet to take a snap in a "real" football game? I since some hate toward Brady Quinn. Culpepper should have to prove himself, he's been hurt alot and missed a lot of games with the Dolphins. You can't just prolong Brady's progression, he has the potential to be a great NFL quarterback.

I don't know if he's a long term answer anywhere, but it's too soon to judge Quinn. He's probably not ready to step in right away and take the Browns to the Super Bowl (literally), most quarterbacks need a year or two, or as many as three to develop. And the way Culpepper played the last two seasons, well, I don't know if he can do any better than Charlie Frye or Derek Anderson last year.

No, they already have Frye, Anderson and Quinn. They do not need another quarterback on the team. What Cleveland needs is a defense and offensive linemen. Joe Thomas is a definite upgrade, but they need a little more help. Culpepper will be a better fit playing for Jacksonville.

Man give Brady Quinn a chance, I mean he is still a rookie and hasn't taken one snap in a real game, so chill and let him learn the offense and get adjusted to the speed of the game before you go calling for his head. I mean don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of Brady Quinn, but I would like to see him get a fair shot at being a good QB. As for Daunte, man I don't know what to say, he would have to find a system that fits his talents to become the stud he was in Minnesota. My take on things bro.

If I am not mistaken, Training camp has not even opened. How can Bray Quinn have a bad showing? Unless Quinn is the second coming of Tim Couch (which no one knows yet). They would be idiots to go after Culpepper.

Poor showing so far? I sure hope you are really kidding; otherwise this is a ridiculous question.
Daunte Culpepper is coming off a terrible knee injury and he was slumping before that occured. He was on pace to set the career funmbles record and he was throwin interceptions more than ever before. His strength and mobiloity were his biggest assets and now he is attempting to comeback from a big knee injury.
Now, it is true that Brady Quin has done nothing in the NFL. But he has not played one single snap in a competitive game. You cannot logically say he has a poor showing.

I don't think so. Culpepper needs to prove that he has overcome his serious injury issues. Unless you can get him for a bargain basement deal, the Browns should ride it out with what they have. It is way too early to write Quinn off.
