No, the money gets put into your paypal account. It will sit there until you tell paypal where to send the money. You can have it transferred directly to your checking account or they will mail you a check or it can pay your paypal credit card.

paypal is very secure for the seller You have to be registered with Paypal and give them your credit card. Once paypal has notified you that its received the payment, you can release the laptop. You can get the money from PayPal all most immediately, there will be a fee involved. Note change the item to "buy it now" and list the price. make sure the buyer goes through eBay . This is better for you because Mathew may choose not to go ahead with the prurchase, meanwhile it is still listed and getting bids. Dont panic, most bids happen the last day. Put in the text: Up for auction at low reserve, but I listed buy it now for any one who wants it immediately" sort of thing Your buy it now should be a good price for you, meaning the auction may not reach it. Also make sure you are truthfull in what you say about the laptop.

Here's how it works: the other person pays Paypal the amount you asked for. Paypall takes a cut (something you agreed to when you set up your account) and then passes the rest on to you. Since they have your banking account number, they could either deposit it straight to your account or send you a check, depending on which you chose when you set up the account.

What this means is that you don't have to worry about someone getting your financial information, checking or credit card numbers, or stiffing you with a bad check. The other person never sees your financial information, and if there's a bad check, Paypal has the money to go after them for fraud and get your money for you if it can be gotten.

You have to request that the money be transfered to your bank account of record. Or you could get a PayPal debit card and use that.

when you signed up for paypal you had to give your bank account info (if you are using a debit card) so they will send it to your paypal account and then you deposit it into your bank account.

btw thats my only problem with paypal is that they require your bank account info rather than you just using a credit card otherwise they put a limit on your spending. the reason i don't like this is i don't want my bank account info out like that because if they are hacked into (which they were several years ago) someone can get everyone's bank info and from that their personal info and drain their bank accounts. its scary. paypal really needs to allow ppl just to use their credit cards for everything that way if there is a problem the credit card company will reimburse and you won't lose all your savings.

Yes the money gets deposited in your checking account. You might wanna upgrade to a higher account (plus), if you sell a lot on ebay. This way you'll be able to get money from intl people, folks using paypal credit and a few others tooo.

1. Money will be in PayPal account.
2. If you provided checking account info and use withdrawal option - money will be deposited into your checking account on your request
3. If you choose they will mail you a check (minus some fees)

By default, your funds are creditted to your PayPal account. You will have to request a transfer to your checking account from PayPal. Go to the My Account -> Withdraw tabs to make that happen. I wouldn't be surprised if PayPal charges you a transaction fee.

Yes, I believe when you set up your PayPal Account it asks you where you want your money deposited. You already have PayPal Set up I assume.
