Symptoms of Psoriasis
Patches of raised, inflamed red skin with white flaking scales, Itching.
Loosened, pitted, discolored fingernails or toenails. Cracked or blistered skin, with pain in severe cases. Joint pain and stiffness.

What You Can Do -
Get some sun. Just 15 to 30 minutes of sunlight a day may improve psoriasis lesions in three to six weeks. Apply a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or greater to nonaffected areas to guard against sunburn.
Use a humidifier in the winter. Dry indoor air may cause lesions.
Apply moisturizer all over your body -- and especially on lesions -- to prevent dry skin and reduce itching. Aloe vera gel is a good choice.
Eat fatty fish often. (Good choices include mackerel, sardines, tuna, salmon, and herring.) Or get your fish oil in capsule form.

Express yourself. Difficulty expressing anger may trigger the onset of psoriasis, according to a recent study at the University of Michigan. Researchers took psychological profiles of 137 individuals and found that those who buried their anger were more likely to develop psoriasis before age 40. Anger and stress may also be linked to flare-ups in people who already have the disease.

Don't smoke. People who smoke 20 cigarettes or more a day (especially women) are twice as likely to develop psoriasis as nonsmokers. A quarter of all psoriasis cases may be related to smoking.

Psoriasis is a common skin disease characterized by thickened patches of inflamed, red skin covered with thick, silvery scales. The elbows and knees are the most common areas affected by psoriasis. It will often appear in the same place on both sides of the body. The patches can range in size from smaller than a dime to larger than a hand.

well.... there is no cure for psoriasis at this time... but it is believed that the reason that you have a outward skin problem is due to the fact that you have and internal problem... You could try detoxing to rid your body of unwanted toxins that may have built up in your body from various things.. such as meds you have taken in the past, the food that you have eaten, and things you have drank... its all a mystery as you why you have this.. but usually it comes from an imbalance from the inside.. If i were you i would detox or take a herbal medication or a cream that is designed for psoriasis... Good luck... there are some awesome sites that you should check out if you decide to ... just type in "Natural meds for psoriasis".. and some good ones will come up.... Once again good luck!

Take 3,000 to 4,000 mg of fish oil each day. "Prescription for Natural Cures" reports that 10,000 mg were used effectively for treating psoriasis. That's an awful lot of fish oil.

The book also implicates a compromised digestive system including yeast overgrowth. If it were me, I'd use a couple tablespoons of emulsified fish oil rather than 10 grams of fish oil. Twin Lab makes good tasting ones.

From my reading, it looks like psoriasis could be an auto immune disease. So I'd suggest the following four products in addition to the fish oil:

1- Olive leaf extract or Candistroy
2- PB-8 or another excellent probiotic
3- Glutamine (5 gm 2x a day) or IntestiNew
4- An excellent multi-enzyme (that's different than a mutli-vitamin)

And get your legs, calves and ankles exposed to sunlight for 10 minutes each day if you can.

Good luck and be well.

Psoriasis patients can cure themselves of their condition in a slow and steady manner by doing meditation for an hour daily after realizing their self under the guidance of an experienced spiritual teacher. They should get near complete relief ( more than 90%) in one to two years though they can see positive results from the first fortnight itself of doing meditation.

It could be psoriasis but the diagnosis can be done by a doctor more accurately. Consult a good homeopath or ayurvedic physician for treatment options.
