Loved it! OK, so not very believable in parts but I was there to be entertained not educated.
First of all, there was humor. I live John McClane's sense of humor and it was good to see him interact with this young computer geek.
Secondly, the action was non-stop. I mean the stunts were awesome! The helicopter, the jet, the car crashes and so much more.
Thirdly, it was a wonderful threat! Not just a high rise office building being threatened or an airport affected or whatever, this is the entire USA at risk! Our way of life!
I just don't see how they can ever top this with Die Hard 5.0! But I hope they try.
I hadn't been too excited about Die Hard 2 and 3, I liked the original better, so I wasn't expecting much from Die Hard 4.0 but it was terrific and I'm probably going to go back and see it another time in the theater to "tide me over" until it's released on DVD.

I thought it was brilliant, it was action packed all the way through, and while some parts werent believable (like the fighter-jet scene) it was still adrenaline pumped all the way. Willis was great as McClane, i think he plays the character better than when he was younger. The film has better action then No.1, but the story is nowhere near as good. People have said the ending was terrible, but i thought it was great! Some scenes were hilarious aswell, with McClanes dark humour. I will definately see it again when it comes out on dvd. Bring on Die Hard 5.
This is only my opinion, but I hope this has helped

Die Hard 4 was the best movie i have seen this year, and i just saw Transformers. Now that was a close second, but Die Hard was just kick *** action all the way and a decent plot too. I didn't have the greatest expectations because i wasn't sure what the 4th movie would bring. Just like all the prior Die Hards, Bruce Willis kick some serious butt, and was cool about it.

It was over the top, reinforced all the silly sterotypes about action movies, and was predictable.
The bad guys and good guys survived the most ridiculous injuries and came back for more, and then other times bad guys died from an apparent paper cut or something trivial. The action sequences got progressively sillier and less plausible, and the dialogue was so hackneyed and trite as to defy convention.
That said, it was AWESOME!!!! You don't go to Die Hard movies for scintillating dialogue and realistic plot development. You go for snappy one liners and lots of things going kablooey. You get that, in a well paced and delivered package.

I really enjoyed it but it was a typical Die Hard film, a bit OTT but very entertaining. Saw it last week at the cinema, i think it needs to be seen on the big screen

I can't wait to buy it on DVD I think that it was awsome and I loved it very much Burce still has it in him and still proves it too he literally kicks *** still and I love that in movies when the main charactors kick *** even when it seems like the impossible.I liked the scene where in order to bring down the bad guy he is willing to shoot himself in order to give the bad guy the illusion that he got him and that he can't do a thing about it and just when the bad guy was getting convinced that he trapped John Mclain, John Mclain back fires at the bad guy by shooting himself in the shoulder in oder to kill the bad guy, while saying Yippe Kai Yey Mother ****** in order to protect him the doughter and the computer hacker.

Although a rollicking good film, the premise and actions bent the heck out of plausibility.
There is no way a semi truck could sustaint he hits it did from a jet fighter and McClain not be killed

Good job Bruce! Milk that franchise for every penny you can squeeze out of it.
I think that Bruce Willis is self-actualizing and making good money. This doesn't mean that I like the movie, just that I admire him for going for the gusto!
