Find a gay bar, buy a guy a drink, be social, talk, don't be on the prowl, be confident but not a schmuck. The rules are all the same. Don't over shoot your realistic options. If you're a 7 don't get all sloppy for a 10. Be natural, be charming, be honest. If a guy shows interest explain that you are not an experienced same sex dater but would be interested in having an experience that is out of your traditional box...and maybe even say it's "out of my traditional box," you might get a laugh...or not.
Be SAFE and if you have to drive to get there, don't get drunk, it (probably) won't be fun to have your first gay experience as a jail house *****. Also, I would be cautious about where you go, his place might be better than your place, a hotel might be best. I would worry about inviting a stranger into my home, or going with them. Of course, that's now, years ago...not so much worry...and I never had any problems.

There is no harm in trying something.... You will never know if you like it until you try.... Dont be scared... Just make sure that the person you try it with will not have an emotional attachment cause i dont think that will be right if they want to be with you and the whole bi thing is not for you...
