or will this cause any gastro problems if i dont burp her every ounce?

You are doing just fine! Baby "talks to you" to let you know what she needs and you are responding just perfectly!! Don't you just love it?!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "natural pause" but at 6 weeks you still need to burp her every couple ounces. Try changing the way you hold her to burb her ie; over your shoulder, sit her up, lay her face down across your arm with her tummy on your hand... some babies are just harder than others to burp. Try for a few minutes if no success continue her bottle and burp again.

I just burped my son about 1/2 way thru his bottle or like you said he made a natural pause....he was never gassy or colicky so i think its fine

He would get super mad at me if i stopped him...he had a temper even at that age...lol...it was a bit funny...when he was hungrey he wanted his food and would not loose suction on that bottle....lol....

Nope. That's good. Listen to your instincts as you are. Its good to get the gas off when she pauses. Blessings!
