You got to look at the player who, alone, is the most valuable to his team.
Of everyone named so far in this post Prince Fielder is probably most deserving of MVP. He's putting up awesome numbers in nearly every category, he's been consistent, and he's on a team that is filled with mostly average players. Yes, Hardy is doing well, Braun is looking like a Rookie of the Year candidate, but really that is it. Really, without Fielder, the Brewers are probably 10 games or more under .500.
Go Fielder....GO BREWERS! Make the damn playoffs for the first time since 1982!
(Quit crying Cubs fans, at least you have been in the playoffs a few times in 25 years...you had your chances....but this is a topic for another time!)

Lol...somebody said Dan Haren MVP...since when were the A's a National League team?
MVP should be Jose Reyes...he's doing what he needs to do to help win games for the Mets. He gets on base, steals and scores...and every now and then he'll blast one out or hit a 3-bagger! His defense is unreal and his speed is amazing. I see the Mets going further into the playoffs as well, so it would help his cause.

I think there are a few choices that you couldn't argue over. The fact that Prince Fielder has been this consistent all year makes him one. chase utley, Jose Reyes and Russel Martin.

Chase Utley hands down. He incredible defensively and his stats speak for themselves. Utley and Howard will carry the Phillies into the postseason for the first time since 1993!

Depends on who makes the Playoffs....right now I think its Prince, but Derek Lee has got a good shot at it. Jose Reyes may also be an option, already has 46 steals.
