Beautifully Con. - Ted Kennedy drinks. He is an alcholic. I feel bad for guys/girls who have drinking problems. I beleive it's genetic and hard to stop. He doesn't speak poorly about alcholics, like Rush Limbaugh who spoke about sneding addicts up the river, but, he himself has an addictive problem to pain killers. I also feel bad ofr him and I beleive that he has an issue with drugs, which I don't think will go away, but, he can control it.

No, not neccesarily. There are of course exceptions to every rule. If someone preaches values and they are found out to be hypocrits, then they should be voted out of office whether they are conservative or liberal. There are many in office that are conservative that preach values and live by them as well. Liberals like to point out the few bad apples to make all conservatives look bad. It's just politics as usual for them. Liberals have just as many cases of hypocrits in their party as conservatives do, if not more. Just look up Ted Kennedy's history and you won't find a more loathing, disgusting human being in the history of congress. And besides, liberals pander to the lowest common denominator of life. They promise to give, give, give to the poor, but all they are doing is exploiting them to stay in power. The poor continue to vote them in with promise of government solving all of their problems through social programs. This cannot and will not ever work but poor people who dont know any better believe the media/hollywood hype and thats what allows liberals to stay in power. A social program will never, ever give someone a happy life. The only way to achieve a happy life is to go out there and make it on your own. The democracy and free enterprise system of our country allows people to do this. Socialist programs the liberals always try to institute could never build that kind of life for anyone. It's really just that simple. But of course if you are a liberal, then you would disagree. No big deal.

I have a two word answer to that question- Newt Gingrich.
Slept around while with wife #2, broke up another congressman's marriage during that time, all the while sanctimoniously touting family values.

Let's see. Liberals act in depravity and it's like a badge of honor. Conservatives act in depravity and feel shame.
As for who has the most to hide, liberals apparently don't really care about hiding things. Or, if things come out, they sure downplay what they did.
What's a little marital infidelity, anyways, right? If it's ok for Bill Clinton, then it's sure OK for Antonio Villaraigosa and Gavin Newsome.

No. They, like all humans, are fallible and are sinners.
What I find the most dishonest are people who believe that you cannot speak about values unless you're purer than Jesus Christ.

Reactionaries with little inspiration or vision to offer their constituents frequently rely on mom, baseball, apple pie, and MORALITY as a theme because people are gullible enough to buy it.

That seems to be the case. I don't believe in delving into the private lives of others and using it as ammunition.
That merely proves one had no valid argument to begin with.
