Another contemptible slam on an American who has served the public good according to his best intentions. Shame on you!
I find Kerry boring, but fairness demands we recognize that he has been quoted out of context by a group of ideological zealots whose own contribution to the country has been challenged with more truth. At least he went when called to serve.
Why is it that the neoMcCarthyites cannot treat dissent with respect? Can they not see that democracy demands debate? Are they still unaware that they lost their majorities because of their shrill partisan behaviour? What do we need to do to get them to understand that we expect them to behave like ladies and gentlemen, at least in their public lives?
I suppose that another President Clinton might do it.
Moderate Americans are weary of vicious character assassination and want a return to bipartisan teamwork after the votes are counted. If the Republicans cannot or will not go there, we will reject them. If the Democrats don't get it, they will be gone, too.
Wrapping yourself in the flag on Veterans' Day will not excuse you for slandering those who have earned our respect, whatever their opinions. Unlike most of the yappers the vets have earned their right to disagree. The irony of it is that they earned your right to do so as well.

actually he was on the Senate floor yesterday and was on the Senate floor early this morning with regards to the Iraq situation and the debate as to why the Jim Webb amendment was filibustered by the Republicans and not allowed to go to the floor for debate. An amendment that would support the troops by ensuring they get the deserved breaks they need for rest and retraining and stop the use of soldiers with the " stop/loss" tripe this current adminstration has been doing by keeping soldiers in the army after their time was up by not releasing them and by forcing soldiers to do more and more tours of duty with fewer and fewer breaks such as the soldier in FL who is being deployed for his 5 tour in Iraq 2 of which lasted 18 months with less than 3 months rest and retraining during that time.
An amendment that would ensure that they get the necessary mental health care help they need.
But the Pubs support the troops.

The last I heard John Kerry was a Senator from Massachusettes. Has he resigned or something?

I listened to him on C-Span 2 this morning, endlessly droning on and on, on the Senate floor. :)

I don't know, as long as he doesn't come back I will be happy. I think he shot himself in the head with his remarks about the military and he discovered he went too far.
