No, i don't think you should blame the simpsons...but yes they have become more sarcastic over the years--it's cuz of the general media--not just the simpsons.

I think it's older than the Simpsons. Dennis the Menace, Calvin and Hobbes, maybe even as far back as the Katzenjammer kids. That's a comic strip from like the 1930's. Also look at TV. Remember Diff'rent Strokes? The Gary Coleman character was a smart@ss. I think you're on the right track, but it's no one character, it's the media in general telling people that smart@ss kids are funny.

Well I dont remember if kids are more scarcastic now but no we should not blame the Simpsons. We should blame Full House.

Most definitely because society has made sarcasm a form of humor. I think the "Simpsons" are a product of what society feels is acceptable.

god!!!!they get more and more sarcastic year by year!but they keep me on my toes cause i have to be more sarcastic than them[i'm a teacher]:)
