Turning a blow dryer on low warm often helps me out. The warmth and the sound eases the ache quickly.

Ear pain can be very serious. Always seek medical attention if pain persists.

If you have access to therapeutic grade essential oils, put a drop of a antimicrobial blend, like Young Living's Melrose, ImmuPower or basil in your hand and soak a small piece of cotton (small enough to fit in your ear) in the oil. Place the piece of cotton in the ear and apply the left over oil to the front and back of the ear with a finger. Reapply twice daily or as needed.

Caution: never put an essential oil directly in the ear.

As a preventative measure, you may wish to ingest an antimicrobial blend of essential oils and antioxidants to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. I like Young Living's Longevity and Ningxia Red.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

A good doctor should be seen. I say good because for two years I had a little fake diamond in my ear and my doctor told me I was fine. Ironically, a 95 year old retired army doctor in Europe found it and got it out with warm water, hydrogen peroxide and a little patience. No pain.

I clean my ears with rubbing alcohol periodically and it feels great. Also, you can mix a little Neosporin with warm water and put it in. Neosporin has antibiotics in it and it won't affect anything else. A doctor taught me this. You can also try Similisan, a natural product, which helps with "swimmer's ear".
