I don't have a car, I'm always barefoot but I use public transport & my bicycle to get around. However, just because this always pops up in 'driving barefoot' questions:
It's fine to drive barefoot. In spite of persistent myths, there are NO laws against driving barefoot. Unfortunately, this myth is so common that even some cops believe it... but everyone who believes this please see source and stop spreading this falsity. Some cops are convinced it's unsafe and even though they know it's not illegal may try to write you up for unsafe or reckless driving, however please see the second and third link in the source, for two sites (one from the Michigan PD, one from an Australian newspaper) making it clear that driving barefoot is no more unsafe than many types of footwear that are regularly worn and could even be considered safer than many kinds of shoes.

Yes.
And I do not understand why there should be laws against it. Only time I do is when I am wearing shoes that my feet slip right out of, flip-flops or other sandals, and I think it's much safer to drive with bare feet that can grip the pedals, than wearing something that your possibly sweaty foot may slip out of while driving.

Not too often, but when we hit those 100F+ days, my shoes just make me hotter-- so I gotta kick 'em off, even in the car.

I've done it a few times. It's hot outside. No a/c in your car. Yep, I'm guilty.

yes in the summer time especially in my cj5 jeep............
