Spongebob shows, of course. You can get them at Target or something.
Video games are a must... Computer games are good too.
He'd probably love a gameboy or PSP or something... You know, for the big thing from his parents.
A football or something outdoorsy would be great as well. That way, he's not spending all his time cooped up indoors... Plus.. He'll love it!!

you could rent an inflatable castle or something, but for the same price, you could buy a trampoline. My daughter got a trampoline for her 9th birthday party & the kids loved it. We also had yard games like horse shoes(plastic) & stuff for them

Right now...it would have to be Transformers. This movie is the hottest and "in". Almost all of my nephews want anything that has to do with Transformers. Good luck!
