How can anyone call him a leader after what happened on 9-11? He turned his back when the people of New York needed him the most. I will just stay home next November.

I'm not a Thompson man, myself, but I'm with you on Giuliani. He is the last person running in BOTH parties that I would ever vote for. Anyone who uses 9/11 victims to profit and further their career is sick, and hardly a good choice for leader of our nation.

We need a more moderate leader. I was really hopeful over Guiliani but he's too soft on illegal immigration which is the top issue. The democrats are a complete washout on the immigration issue. At least Thompson has rejected amnesty.

What ever happened to middle of the road?

Fred Thompson definitely, but would rather see Newt Gingrich in the race. I wholeheartedly disagree with your statement about Guiliani - he really stepped up to the plate & got things done after the 9/11 attack on the US. However, I don't believe he can possibly get the Republican nomination due to 4 of his know positions, ie; pro-abortion, pro-affirmative action, pro-gay unions & anti 2nd Amendment. The base is who votes in the primaries & I am part of that base & I know how we vote & I sure as hell will not vote for him. Watch what happens when Sen Thompson does announce his candidacy for pres.

I don't know about the accuracy of that story, but I prefer Thompson given what facts I have about him.

But I'd support Guiliani over a Democrat.

So far Thompson looks like a winner, we will have to wait and see. I agree that if these are the best the Republicans can come up with, I will stay home, too. Let us hope Thompson is what we all think he is.

At least Rudy has leadership experience. What has Thompson ever led? Remember, those firefighers are all union, and they will do anything to get democrats elected, even lie if needed.
