It's usually about 29 days from the day you start. But if you've only just recently started your period, you probably won't be regular for the first year or two. I have very weird periods at the moment. A few months ago, I had my period for 3 days, was off for a week, had my period for 2 days, was off for 3 days and then had my period for 3 days. I keep a track of mine because they confuse me!
If you're worried about starting at an unexpected time, then don't worry too much because the flow is usually very light to start off with. If you feel a dull ache low down, crave a certain food such as chocolate, feel moody or have lots of discharge, then you can probably guess your period is coming anyway.

Count the first day of your cycle as day #1, then count up 29 days and that date should indicate the date of your next expected start date.....
This is how I do it
Example: Cycle on June 1st. June 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (I first count 7 days), then I go straight down the calendar 3 more weeks to give me 28 days, so this would be June 28th as next anticipated start date. Hope this helps!

Usually 28 days according to theory, but constitution of individual person differs from one another. If you have trouble with your periods, take Pulsatilla 1M - single dose followed by Pulsatilla 30C - 4 pills 4 times daily till your periods start. Stop the medication during the period. Start again after 8 days of stopping of flow. You will be ok. No worries, anxieties, tensions and stress. They add to delayed menses.

yes- you could do that, but to me it just sounds a little weird because you period can be a little late of a little early, so counting wont help tell when it's going to come. If that's what you're wanting to do.
