Did Vitter's assertion that God had forgiven him take away from his apology?

I thought the press conference he gave was incredibly insincere, especially with his assertion that he knew God had forgiven him. The wife didn't help especially since she once blasted Hillary for staying with Bill when he cheated.

So my question, did you find Vitter's apology to be sincere or just a face saver?

He is only sorry that he got caught.

He is still denying the New Orleans hookers because the proof has not surfaced yet.

DC hookers are ok, but he wouldn't touch a New Oleans hooker with a ten foot pole. Yea right.

He did it once, he more than likely did it twice and will do it again.

vitter is a politician. i'm automatically skeptical.

nobody uses a press conference to make a sincere apology about anything.

put vitter in the same category of people as michael richards and mel gibson.

God didn't matter to Vitter while he was sinning, did He? God only matters to these people when they are caught. THATS what detracts from the apology.

Insincere at best. I think its funny that the wife was blasting Hilary for forgiving her husband and keeping her marriage vows (for better or for worse) when her husband was probably with some N.O. hookers at that time.

I think that he needs to resign.
