I'm not about to say we shouldn't be debating the war in Iraq ......We have to do that !!!but if the Democrats actually think I ( or we ) should be impressed with their little " sleep over " I'd like them to know the following :
TOO F...ing Late !!!!!!!!
I'm dissapointed beyond the point of return with you people!!!! You've been " Off Message " disorganized ....disconnected ....poorly managed.....improperly positioned.....and the worst of it is that as a party, your collective EGO is still the worst attribute you have ....A sleep over " party " would be a very good idea for you.....just not in Washington.....how bout somewhere where you people can once and for all get your collective arses in gear !!!
Comments anyone ?

Well, considering that the congress was mostly REPUBLICAN when the vote for the war came up at first, I would say they were home trying to figure out how to run for the congressional seats that were opening up in a few years.

Yes - some Dems voted for the war. But they were fed false info by the President, and they are human - most were reacting the way the rest of the nation was. There was fear and anger at what happened, and they were looking for someone to blame. The President, in his "infinite wisdom", plopped someone right into their crosshairs.

I don't blame anyone in Congress for the vote to go to war. They were going on what they were given, and they were presenting a "untied front" to show strength to the rest of the world. But knowing now what they didn't know then asside, something needs to be done. They are coming to a realization that we have done all we can, and us being there isn't improving anything there. We need to get out, so people need to figure this out.

The first step is admitting there is a problem. After that, it is all downhill.

The NO spin zone here we go again. All the Gov people REP & DEM'S B Clinton days pre 2001 all said there were wmd. After 2001 all most all the R&D voted to go to war.Supported the war & the troops. All most all the countrys in the UN said they had WMDs They all has the same intel, but they only talk there no action are they all LIBS to.So off to war with the blessing of the DEM'S then it takes longer than the D like an the 08 Elections coming They lost the 06 Ele.So they change there minds we don't want to be part of this anymore not good for votes. So they go on a vengence to discredit all that support our troops & the war.No war is good but you don't undermind the troops with propaganda the enemy does that .Not USA citizens. There is no end to what they will do for voters,The amnesty bill that was a real winner, going to get a lot of votes on that 1.Out of office .Know the sleep in.So much time wasted, build the fence ,enforce our laws.Do something, that protects us.

If a democrat wins the presidency in 08 and the US is still in IRAQ, the new dem pres will not pull out the troops because they know the Iraq war is the right thing to do, but it is the liberal base (the voters) they are pandering too. Every dem in Washington voted to go to war after 911 and most of them agreed with Bill Clinton in 1998 that Saddam had to be stopped.

They voted on the polls as they always do. Some even had the audacity to say they didn't read the reports, but the reason was that Iraq and Iraq intelligence was brought to this congress numerous times during the Clinton Administration, so they all understood that it was business as usual for Saddam and it was time to do something about it. Probably the only honest thing these ba$tards have ever done was to vote in favor on the Iraq action.

At the time this was all going on, the nation was so upset by 9/11 that we where ready to bomb anyone and everything.

We burned bridges with MOST other countries that had the integrity to oppose our approach and then the people of America ran around saying screw the French and the Russians and the Germans and the list goes on forever.

So to answer your question the Democrats represented the misguided and rightfully angry people of this nation. The did what the people where demanding.

I am not saying I agree with the democrats please don’t read that in to this. What you should read into this is there all freaken stupid.

I am no fan of the French but they said ‘When you find chemical weapons we will help’ hmmm they new there where no weapons. Interesting the US didn’t know this…oh wait we did but our government lied then admitted to lying and people still supported the efforts.

advantageous attempt yet you have twisted the information in genuine Liberal trend. whilst the certainty that Democrats voted for the Iraq conflict is reported it particularly is ordinarily according to Liberal calling Conservatives conflict mangers or claiming that Bush is the only man or woman to blame for the conflict. We in simple terms instruct that Liberals/Democrats want to push the blame off on others. no one is celebrating the Iraq conflict so there is going slightly greater of your credibility as nicely. Exaggerating the way you adult men do is why lots of folk refuse to take you heavily.

Your confused in your lack of facts, Congress never approved the occupation of Iraq. Democrats did support the removal of Saddam and the search for WMDs.
Now tell me, where was the Republican majority when Bush decided to invade without a exit plan. Where was the oversight of Congress to check the bad facts passed on to the American people. Congress should not rubber stamp lies. Congress also should not rubber stamp the liars in the White House. Your party had the power when the dirty deed was done, not Democrats.

i think its funny how everyone in congress, including democrats, read the same report about WMD's in Iraq, and everyone was convinced they existed and that we should go to war.

Now that we haven't found WMD's, they blame Bush and say we never should have gone to war. When we think the info is right they are on board, but when we find out it was wrong they are standing on the sidelines blaming Bush.

You are correct that far too many voted "for the war" (although it wasn't technically that). But they were in the minority anyway, it would have passed no matter what.
